For the needs of the residents and guests of Sofia Public Electrical Transport Company JSC built an experimental tram section, which was completely reinforced with high-strength synthetic fibres BarChip of Elasto Plastic Concrete.
BarChip fibres have replaced heavy reinforcement in concrete, significantly reduced site construction time, eliminated the need for delivery, bending and cutting of reinforcing mesh and eliminated the risk of corrosion and compromise of the track in the long run.
No less important is the fact that they remove dangerous protruding metal reinforcing bars, which pose a risk to cars, pedestrians and cyclists.
