SiloTreat offers three types of stone impregnators - deep hydrophobic impregnator and consolidator Stone DH, deep impregnator Stone S + and surface impregnator Stone BE.
What is the difference between the three types of SiloTreat stone impregnators?
SiloTreat Stone DH is suitable for impregnation of stone, especially high porosity (sandstone, limestone, etc.). SiloTreat Stone DH penetrates deep into the stone and creates a vapor-permeable, colorless impregnation without a wet effect. The impregnator strengthens the stone, slows down the weathering process, reduces the penetration of liquids into the stone and increases the stability of its surface, subjected to cycles of freezing and thawing.
SiloTreat Stone DH is applied by hand.
SiloTreat Stone S + creates a vapour-permeable and colorless impregnation that does not change the appearance of the treated stone surface. SiloTreat Stone S + penetrates deep into the stone without creating a wet effect.
For best results, it is recommended that the SiloTreat Stone S + deep impregnator be used before applying the SiloTreat Stone BE product as a system for the complete protection of natural stone materials.
SiloTreat Stone S + is applied by hand.
SiloTreat Stone BE is designed for surface impregnation of natural stone materials (limestone, marble, sandstone, granite, tuff, gabbro, breccia and others). SiloTreat Stone BE does not seal the surface of the stone and does not change its appearance.
After impregnation of the concrete with Stone BE, the liquids on the surface are retained in the form of a drop and can be easily removed by careful wiping. In most cases, SiloTreat Stone BE is applied by one hand.
How are SiloTreat stone impregnators applied?
SiloTreat impregnators are applied by spraying with airless spray guns (HVLP machines). In this way, the products will penetrate evenly and deeply into the stone.
How often should SiloTreat stone impregnators be applied?
Depending on the type of stone, the environment in which it is exposed and the method of impregnation, we recommend that the impregnators be applied every 2-3 years or when the surface begins to get wet. SiloTreat stone impregnators work with accumulation, which allows each subsequent impregnation to be significantly lower than the previous one.
